So I went and saw the new Sherlock Holmes the other day (it was fantastic, also, in my opinion) (like, not as good as Sherlock, the Benedict Cumberbatch one, I mean Dent as Watson, seriously? SERIOUSLY?!)
Anyway, it's my opinion that friggen Sherlock Holmes started everyones fascination with arrogant, slightly mentally ill, super intelligent, god-complex dudes. Because isn't House just Sherlock with a PHD? and that guy on Lie to Me? Or the Mentalist. Fuck. Sherlock, Sherlock, Sherlock.
I'm ranting, I know. They think he had aspergers, the real guy. So what we're all obsessed with is a highly-functioning dude who had a little trouble talking to people. I love Sherlock and House as much as the next person, but I just don't get it.
