Last night was a good time for the most part, we went and saw an evening of live music with some good food and good company.
400lbgorilla, The Birthday Girl and I started off at a place that I think was called Greens & Gourmet that S_Eldorado recommended to us, good food at that place. S_Eldorado showed up within 5 minutes of when we thought he would which proves that he's actually always on time, his clock just runs on a different time zone than the rest of us.
From there we went to a place that I think was called beans to watch the good people of Supertonic play and eat ice cream, someone who won't be named here had two and found herself a nice sugar buzz hidden in those waffle cones of happiness. They played a couple sets and as usual amazed us with what they can make those instruments do. They also sang a round of happy birthday just before we left, it had to be done but at least we didn't embaras her upon arrival.
Stop number three of the evening we met up with lucks, Oryx and some other friends at er somewhere in granville, um the arts center possibly? Well it was where ever Rebecca was playing last night. Small girl, amazing voice, and she's pretty nifty on that guitar of hers too. Had a guy up there (I think his name was Benny) playing drums with her and they ended up doing what two or three songs after their set due to excessive applause and possibly bribery with drinks.
There was a guy on before them who was pretty wild to watch play guitar, but after the first song it really felt like everything else was more of the same I mean fast an accurate as anything, but it just didn't grab me.
Stop four was at some restraunt thing with dimmed lights and sort of a strange theme but good shrimp, we were back down to three at that point, everyone else having gone to get sleep. I hear that sleep stuff's pretty good.
Unfortunately the evening ended on a sour note with a car accident but it seems like everyone's okay, or going to be after a few days on pain killers so we won't need to hunt down the other drivers and collect heads.
S_Eldorado and kumquat took a whole bunch of pictures through the evening so if we're lucky and pester them some might get posted.
