I'd like to take this moment to appologize for any occasions that I may have maligned the good people at macromedia.
I just discovered on their website a document called flash_file_format_specification.pdf. This is everything I need to create my own .swf files from my application, thus saving me roughly three weeks of work saving files out of photoshop and creating flash libraries.
While I may still accuse certain members of their staff of insanity or mental instability for certain methods or functions involved in flash, I have to say the terms on the liscence agreement to use this have to be the most reasonable ever. They contain much legal speak but boil down to:
1. Don't go giving this away so anyone else who wants to use it has to agree to this too.
2. Admit that you're using it, and refer to our products by their proper names.
3. Don't produce shit that doesn't work.
These are rules that every programmer can embrace.
/hug macromedia.
