I need to get some sort of stable work again so I can just buy my own house. Where I'm living is great, huge place, low rent, easy going roommate, but it's not mine. Which means I can't just do whatever I want with the place, move around furniture at a whim, let friends crash when they've had too much to drink instead of driving them home.

I also need to figure out where this imaginary house is going to be. The areas I'd really like to live are just way too expensive to get a house big enough, I have massive quantities of junk that I need room for.

I also like being able to just do things for people, it bugs me to see friends / family stressing about money worries. Normally when that happens I have cash just lying about that I can fix things with, but gotta save it right now.
