I need to find some more reliable friends, or at least friends with more reliable lives.

Supposed to have two friends over tonight. Get a call wednesday, friend wants to know if I can go out with her friday, having plans I say no.

Last night I get a call, friend one has to work.

Just now I get an email, friend two's ex wife is going out of town, so he's got the kids early this week, meaning tonight.

Now if I'd known this all oh say wednesday, I coulda gone out with friend three. Who happens to be a great looking young lady that's also a ton of fun to be out with, and is my only friend with what you'd call a decent job which means that when we go out, we can actually do things without me paying for everything. And of course, she's busy now.

So it's looking like tonight's going to be crash on the couch, watch some movies and curse the world.

It's not that I mind paying, it's just that most of my friends feel bad about never being able to cover their part of the check, and so don't ever want to do anything that requires cash.
