So, I finally fixed this bug that's been lurking in the background forever. It's been one of those isn't it fixed yet, why isn't it done, oh and by the way this new feature is your top priority things.

But it's done, dead, /squish. Turns out that just because the current thread releases a critical section doesn't mean that another thread that's been waiting on it gets first dibs at it. The current thread can snag it right away again. Sleep(0) is my friend when doing timed things.

I think I might go out tonight to celebrate. After the family thanksgiving thing that is. Or maybe just have friends over, we'll see which way it ends up going.

Grandma's apparently come to her senses and will again be making Turkey and Roast Veggies this year, trust me when this woman makes them they deserve the capitals. Previous years experiments have been mostly in the cooked salmon areas, which I suppose is all well and dandy if you like those sorts of things. Personally I can't get past how much better fish taste as sushi, they don't have that nasty cooked fish flavor. Beer battered fish next to a plate of fries and shellfish are another thing entirely.
