La la laaa...
SO I just got back from my cousin Sall's gig at the coffeehouse in town. Man shes really good. A small but I think most surprised and pleased crowd. Sall Gibson
Check it out if you like really good acoustic folk/rock (its just her and her guitar right now). I laughed when she told me she had Googled her name at her day job for fun and it came up here, where I had posted her webpage on New music canada. Her very straight colleague was surprised too, and thankfully she closed it seconds before her boss walked in..oops.! Oh well, shes doing music full time as of this month so I dont need to worry about getting her canned or anything..
I was also told tonight I should consider writing(in whatever form). Apparently I have a way with words (written anyways)--I did some blurbs promoting Sall and was complimented on it. I might agree with that but I think it stops at the paper. I 'm such a non-conversationalist- I hate making small talk and chitchat and blah blah. Numbs my brain.
What else is new ..
Just finished making a raspberry trifle for Xmas eve dindin.. Honestly, I know its all delish and stuff, but Im just not in the mood for all this rich food etc. Give me some red wine and a few Brandy Alexanders and 18 hrs to sleep (and maybe get laid) and Im a happy Xmas elf.
--whats the best joke youve heard/seen this week?
--what should I do for my birthday- yes Ive come out with my age, I turn 35
next Thursday..I dont want the normal cake thing. Maybe my sweety and I could rent a cheap sleazy hotel room.. or maybe I could go buy lingerie..
