Heh my house mate hired Kill Bill pts 1 & 2 on Saturday and he really hated it. In fact, he wouldn't stop moaning about how disappointed he was. I did warn him beforehand that he might not like it that much, and I did try and explain afterwards that whilst the second part was a bit slow and overall the films were playing fast...

Tsk well here I am back in not-so-sunny no-so-friendly London. Nice to see my house and my animals again but in some ways the break wasn't long enough. Mind you, having said that I don't think I could have hung out at my dad's place for much longer without going nuts.

It's quite strange seeing dad and stepmom finally coming of age. They're both in...

Ok done with my packing will be off to France in the morning. Fingers xssed I don't forget anything. Also fingers xssed my animals will be ok and I won't miss anything exciting while I'm gone. I'd say I'm looking forward to a bit of peace and quiet but a) I find it really hard to just sit there and do nothing, and b) my...

In other news I'm sad I missed the meet on Friday (along with the opportunity to meet the lovely October) but...

I had a very strange dream last night which had something to do with me developing some kind of supernatural power which allow me to read ancient and undecipherable languages and translate them into modern English. To activate the power though I had to squint at a round metal disc in the centre of one side of a pyramid-shaped object. The unknown script had to...

I've just started having some wierd dreams. In one of them I was the guy from Metallica's 'One' video, it was so horrible. It might mean something but I don't know what.

I already have that power. It's more hindrance than help tongue

Glad you liked the patch... I seem to recall it was one of the ones used on the security personnel. Or summats.

Modelmaking? We always need new blood. Unfortunately we need people who can hit the job running, ie read architectural/engineering drawings, use machinery, know their way around resins and sprayrooms, that kinda thing. There are courses, and munch has considered dropping out for 3 years to do one wink

Tsk, that's another week of my life dribbled away. Still haven't won the lottery, goddamit! mad

Thankfully I finally handed the game over so maybe they'll finally pay me. Anyone know anything about setting up dollar accounts, as the exchange rate is now arse I may have to sit on it a while in any case.

More writing chores to get of the way this week,...

well in minnesota we don't have the beautiful ocean to go play at.
so what you do is you go down this river in a tube for about 6 hours and get very drunk and party.
and it sounds kinda stupid. i know when i moved here i thought it would be. but it is really fun to go and do it.

Blegh. Ideally I should find something interesting to say. Unfortunately things are fairly tawdry, and except for work during the day, and sorting the board game over many evenings, not a lot has actually been happening. Apart from the usual daydreaming/fantasising. And wishing that I had far more sleep.

Saturday was extremely cool though. Firstly I got my attire sorted for my friend's wedding in...

Vampire Wyne - your ordinary red wine but in a black bottle and with that printed on a faded label; seeing as we happened to be passing through a graveyard at the time and being in New Orleans we couldn't think what would fit the picture better.

Incidentally, on that recommendation I may well go see Spiderman2 myself.
charley:
I found it in a shop tongue heheh someone recommended it to me because I love the films Time of the Gypsies and Black Cat, White Cat which have that kinda music on the soundtrack, its brilliant biggrin

The puppy is very well behaved he goes to puppy class once a week and hes doing really well, I've had him nearly a year now I got him from a mastiff rescue centre frown . He had been in kennals for five months and he was only nine months old when I got him. He was full of scars and some were still healing when I picked him up, the person who had him originally already had a four year old rottwielerwhich took a dislike to him and savaged him frown . He is such a nice friendly dog considering what hes been through, now hes spoilt rotten biggrin
The sitesirenphotos is Daves idea (the photographer) I just help him out by modeling for him. I started modeling for his watercolours originally but he seroiusly damaged his elbow and he couldn't paint, so he decided to try photograhpy. I love what he does with the photos biggrin but I think I maybe biased wink

Hunting in space is never easy.

Dirtside its easy to find a town large enough to cover your movements. More shadows you can count and plenty of spaces to hide. Whod miss one more dropout from the urban sprawl, their trail easily obscured by the detritus of the thoughtless millions that dwell in every direction? You can never go hungry in the city, as long...

OK, that's a teaser if I ever heard one!

Yeah, I do a little work in this business they call show.
wink All our stuff involves some kind of creature element as we're basically a vanity company for an effects shop. Have you written any screenplays?

I will always love the Rodenberry, but like Lucas, he needs other people playing in his sandbox to make his lofty ideas work. The first couple seasons of next gen are proof. He didn't want people fighting people... Not a good directive for creating drama. Those first episodes are nearly unwatchable now.

Did you by chance read the Eugenics Wars novels? I'd never read any trek novels before, but was curious. I was pleasantly surprised. Khan vs. Gary 7... Kinda cool! The Writer did a good job of taking real historical events and recontextualizing them in terms of Trek history.

So. Let's see. Friday I went out back home to an old haunt, and laughed at an old friend getting more hammered than I've seen him in ages. Saturday was spent mostly doing boring but necessary housework and then watching DVDs whilst feasting on Mexican food. Sunday I did a whole load of typing and then participated in the usual Sunday night game.

Generally though...

id' like to think that the world would be better in 10, 20 30, 50 years but one can never know. maybe people will learn to pull their heads out of their asses and and realize that religeous and cultural differences dont make people bad, evil or wrong. but i dont know, all we can do i wait and watch.
