Well thank Crunchie it's Friday. Only ~6 hours and counting before the weekend officially begins... *sigh* whatever

Met up with The Ex properly on Wed for the first time in ages. Nice to catch up etc. but a little strange, especially noticing old habits kicking in without even realising. Even more strange to think she's 'getting serious' with some other guy who she insists I would...

Ugh. Mondays. Despite getting plenty of sleep yesterday I still feel like poo. I suppose getting rather hammered on Saturday didn't help, but still *shrugs* blackeyed

So here I am. Wasn't very constructive on the weekend really, so for the coming week I'm contemplating board game design, song rehearsal and short story writing. Plus I still haven't been arsed to type up most of the crap...

I've ended up offering to play something for the service of my mate's wedding in October. He's left the decision of what song entirely up to me, but the trouble is, I'm really not sure what to pick. Needs to be something positive and easy to pick up for acoustic + vocal, but also not too cheesy or too soppy. Hmm. Anyone have any bright...

A new week is upon us and so I guess it's time for another update. The weekend was a fairly quiet one really. Caught up on some taped TV Friday, did chores Saturday and then got measured up for wedding gear with my pal Saturday before swinging by the UGC to catch The Bourne Supremacy and then heading home for beer, food and messing about...

carnivale does look good, but its not on cheap telly, so i'm gonna have to find a way of watching it. there was an article in bizarre ages ago about it - sounds good plus it'll have midgets in it so i think they're onto a winner!
have fun, i'm off to find things to sell to fund my new ebay habbit! kiss

I got to see Alien vs. Predator last night, courtesy of a not-so-legal DVD acquired via a friend of a friend. TBH it was pretty much what I expected - did exactly what it said on the tin - some great fight sequences and whizzy effects. Not much in the way of exposition or even dialogue though, and it's paced so fast you don't really...

And no, I didn't get to see Riddick, I shan't bother now. I never hire out anything either, Ill just have to wait till I can borrow it or something! Oh to be earning enough to buy some new CDs or DVDs, arranging my collection would barely take up a morning I don't think. New job is needed badly! Argh, I just can't even be fucked to start looking! blackeyed

Stag thing on Saturday went pretty well, although I'm now aching severely after the karting and snowboarding - both used muscles previously undiscovered and underused I think. Also had the best lychee kashmir I've had for years. The groom-to-be had an ace time, which was the main thing, and thankfully we all got nicely drunk without getting ill or arrested! biggrin

Also saw Hellboy and The...

And as for wheelchair dancing, it does exactly what it says on the tin! Dancing...like you're in a wheelchair. Funny is what it is! biggrin

...but a great place for a holiday.

I must get out to the movies more often...

Given it was a Bank Holiday isn't the week supposed to be shorter? Then why the hell does it feel like it's got even longer? whatever

At least the climate's eased off a bit finally. Just need to wait another month or two for the tube trains to cool down as well so my journeys start becoming bearable again... *sigh*

Tsk too much to do here...

well, i got spare time- but no money. i was thinking about doing it before, but wasn't sure how long i gonna keep my english bank account and the will- you gotta keep in touch with the kid till its 18, or you brake its heart. so... was surprised myself that he did it, entirely his own idea and money. he's one happy bunny, tell you that! smile

Finally got around to seeing Punch Drunk Love on Friday. I'm not a big Adam Sandler fan, but lots of people said it was his best work, and I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed. He was still riffing on the uber-innocent 30-going-on-12 routine, but this time it was pretty dark and unpredictable. Was actually quite nerve-wracking to watch, not just because of the disjointed...

Fleur'd'artifice is a play on words of "feu d'artifice" which means fireworks en franais.

And I do have a DVD player, in the form of my ps2, which means i can't watch any non region 2 dvd's, whcih is crap. But I have watched all the DVDs i own a lot, am incredibly bored of them, but what can you do? When I worked at HMV it was great for that sort of thing.
I'm soooooooo booooooooored! It's 1.30, and i have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING so far today. yawn yawn zzzz
fleurdeguerre:
rent? buy? what do these things mean? I am blocking out all phrases that refer to spending of the money I don't have. And I've seen buffalo soldiers, ages back! What about myspace? You didnt answer that bit.
I am going to look now at that site, but my mac is shit and the flash doesnt usually work, so I bet I'm out of luck

Cool to see everyone who made it on Saturday (and pffft to those of you who didn't make it) biggrin

Lamed out of doing chores yesterday to go to the flicks. Due to timing (and the fact that they're due to disappear soon) I ended up selecting King Arthur and I, Robot. TBH neither were quite as bad as I has anticipated.

For KA I thought...

Haha so here I am pondering the state of my finances once more. Ebaying is clearly a lot of effort and it's going to take a while to photo, weigh and type up everything. Boo frown

There is a hell of a lot I can rid of though, assuming I have the willpower to avoid changing my mind and just hoarding it. shocked

Perhaps more importantly I...
