Argh so much to do so little time!
Saturday was pretty cool, spent the day demoing Star Wars miniatures (figs are brill, but the game is so-so) and the new Star Wars Risk (kinda cool, but some of the rules feel a bit tacked-on). Didn't actually get much opportunity to take in the show itself properly, and didn't get to take all the pics I...

Enough whining from me. Sorry about that.

In other news, on Saturday I have a day to look forward to which mostly involves being surrounding by frothing geeky men with ginger beards, pipes, and pewter tankards strapped to their belts. And their children. No, it's even worse than a real ale festival. It is in fact Salute National Wargames Fair. Quite...

You've seen Serenity, right? I don't want to be spoiled or anything, but I have one question... in the trailer, when it shows Simon in what looks like an undercover uniform, is that a flashback to him breaking her out the first time, or is that a new event in the movie?
Well I suppose it's time for another update. I don't have a track history for feeling sorry for myself, and generally I'm normally almost insanely optimistic or laid back, but lately I think I've been approaching a low point. Little things are starting to bother me more and more, and I'm finding it harder just to chill out and relax. I moan about my job...

"I can't imagine anything more terrifying that growing old alone."
Growing old with Danny LaRue?
Seriously though, perhaps the convention will present some possibilities?
I was talking to an old friend about this very subject last night. He's funny, rich, generous, kind and wild at heart. He's 40 and not unattractive and all he gets is interest from 40yr old divorcees with kids who like the prospect of a steady, wealthy husband. Not his scene at all...

Well Monday rolls around again. Goddamn the weekends are just never long enough these days.
Friday, after an exasperating day at work, I did go and see the Interpreter as planned. A splendid, intelligent, thrilling yarn I thought. Not sure why the posters mention a big twist, because IMHO there isn't really a twist, but it's good nonetheless. I like the way that although the...

you're right. sometimes i lose touch with myself or who i want to be, but it's not always so hard to find again. it just takes a little realisation, a little bit of remembering and a little bit of reiterating to myself how i see the world as meaningful.
I am constantly amazed by the people I have to work with. Well, mainly one guy I have to work with (the others are rarely here and when they are they're doing their own thing). On Tuesday afternoon he asked me to do some debt chasing of direct debit customers (a very manual, tedious and time consuming process) and then on Wednesday lunchtime it seems...

Bloody hell, Tuesday already! Err.
Pretty insane weekend for me, and quite frankly I'm still reeling. Friday went from drinks with an ex-colleague (cool, but strange), 36 Crazyfists at the Astoria (rocked like bastards but IMHO the American Head Charge gig was better) to B-Movie at the Wateratz in KingsX (cheesy music, dancing and too much beer) to face-down on my mates futon. Ambled home...

Argh so much to do, little time!
Out of here shortly to go home, feed cats, get changed, come back into town, have a swift one with an old colleague, meet some other people to go see 36 Crazyfists, then go onto B-Movie in KingsX.
My little bro's ticket for 36 Crazyfists tonight is going spare as he's ill. If anyone wants it then mail...

Sorry about that! We only stopped in for an hour after a heavy friday. Didn't know you were there - silly me. Next time maybe, eh?! Hope you had fun despite the gaping hole that must have been left by my absence.

Me again: It's Cool Edit Pro. Download that and then try astalavista.com to crack it. Or get a cheap copy of Sounforge; also good. It's kind of wierd as I only remembered the name of cool edit because of a dream I had last night. Yes, I dream of audio software.

Last Friday (the bank holiday) we played Sorceror's Crusade where I'm a kooky street urchin and part-time prostitute who learned her pagan magic of an old lady in the poor quarter who's now shacked up with a gifted artisan to serve as his muse. This Saturday we played Marvel where I'm playing an estranged Ozzy teenager with deadly electric powers who accidentally ended up in...

in a way i think that reality is more subjective since our personal experiences and perceptions tend to define the way we view the world and the people in it.
out of curiosity, do you think that karma is something moreso experienced in this life or the next?
i've often pondered this question because despite the many times i notice something good or bad happening as a result of a certain action i notice just as many things (usually more) that seem to happen without just cause.

Yay me I managed to find the soundtrack to Labyrinth in Virgin's latest sale. It's classic 80s in so many ways, but it's a great film and it brings forth very fond memories. Also found the soundtrack to Ravenous. Aside it from it being one of my all-time fave films, the soundtrack is a particularly bizarre and haunting affair crafted by Damon Allbarn using authentic...

Wiat what? You're looking forward to Episode III? Wowzies, you are officially the biggest optimist I know.
It might not suck as bad as the first two prequels. I will probably drag myself to go see it in the theater at some point, out of my last shred of loyalty to a once-glorious series. But... I dunno if I can make myself face it, dude. The Star Wars prequels flamed out faster and worse than the Matrix sequels (with those, at least I got to really love the first movie).
Maybe I'll just ask you for spoilers when the film arrives.

i have to say that i'm most annoyed that you 'top up' your car instead of 'fill up' with petrol.
Well the weekend went pretty much expected. Slightly less gaming and more socialising than planned, but it was all good. Not quite enough sleep as usual, although this time mainly due to me spending too much time on KOTORII. I beat the visiting Frenchies at V:TES on Saturday (which was was much deserved) and then went home to watch Dr Who (which was ace). Also...

if i could sing, that would help. if i could write lyrics, that might help. other than that, any songs i'd write would sound like a ramones reject!

Though I'm holding on to my fool's hope that Revenge of the Sith could be the best one since Empire Strikes Back. I've even heard that Lucas hired a stage director to help the actors through the... well the acting.
Here's hoping!
It rocks...
And no, no news, but I think I got paid today and I had a brilliant interview this a.m. so... here we go.
