Well at first there was more yayness as my employer decided that after not giving me a raise, ignoring me and generally taking me for granted for the last year or so, they would resolve my lack of laptop by buying me a new one.

Except they then went on to say it wouldn't actually be *mine* but the company's, for my personal use for the time being only. Tsk.

Things took a turn for the worse as the Toshiba they ordered didn't work. And then the second one they sent didn't work either. I have the third one in front of me now, and so far no probs *fingers xssed*

So I have a very new shiny thing which is kinda cool, except I've wasted a large part of this week/weekend getting a working one, and I'm also disinclined to get too attached to it given the above. And it's actually not very useful, and my life got transferred to my ma's PC, which at the moment *doesn't* have a network card. Which means buying one and arsing about before I get everything all back in one place.

Grr. Why is life never bloody simple eh?

P.S. The sitcom script is coming along though. Blackadder meets Red Dwarf anyone?
