Well I got the new Incubus and Lostprophets albums this morning. I'm quite relieved to find that they're not s***, but I'm also a bit disappointed, as they're not as exciting or as cutting-edge as they could have been. I remember when I heard both bands they really were fresh and different and raw and heavy, but now they seem to have lost all that through production polish and unfocused experimentation. Goddamn why isn't anyone making music that really excites me and inspires me anymore...

No, not at all! I don't think you realise how much I appreciate what is commonly known as 'geek-talk'. I honestly get a little glint in my eyes and start to become abnormally excited blush

And procrastination from work is probably what I do best anyway hehe.

We're encouraged to write in every genre (a finger in every pie kind of thing) but I find I'm only passable at contemporary fiction, and I like writing anti-heroes as the main protagonists because self-deprication and ranting is always fun. Hehe I just re-read that and it sounds as though I have my head firmly inserted up my own arse. blush
