Hmm well here I am at work wondering whether I am the only person in the country that hasn't started their Xmas hols yet. Unfortunately I have to be in tomorrow *and* Wednesday morning *and* Tuesday next week... frown

LotR RotK was ace though wasn't it? biggrin Amazing visuals and some real gut-wrenching dramatisation. Not sure about some of the bits they changed though - was Boromir on the pyre instead of Faramir? The battles seemed to forgoe any attempt at strategy in favour of the straight slog and massed charged. TBH I think my favourite bit is Shelob - they captured her movement and behaviour so realistically it was great. Already seen it twice, and should be going at least once more before New Year... smile

Not much else to tell. Done pretty much all of my xmas shopping just need to get wrapping. Damn shame I missed the SGUK meet this weekend but hopefullly there'll be another one soon. Between working and gaming the next few weeks are pretty full. Have nothing to do Sat 27th though plus New Year's Eve is an open question. Guess we'll have to see what happens... wink

ROTK was fab, it was Faramir on the pyre, and I thought this one was about the closest to the books of all three. Roll on the special (4 hour + ?!?) dvd next year....

ooh, i cant wait for the dvd too! a whole extra hour! woohoo!! i only saw it on release day so another trip to the cinema is also a must pretty soon....i dont remember much of the books as i read them at a pretty early age but i thought it was pretty accurate (enough to NOT piss me off anyways!)
