Well I'm glad to say the pirates LRP thing was a huge success in the end. Ended up typing stuff up and printing it out until 3.00am on Friday and into Saturday daytime as well, but when it started it was f***ing brilliant. Watching 18 pissed-up nutters in pirate costumes going Arrr!!! for 3 hours made it all worthwhile. Hurrah for me! 
Now looking forward to next Friday, although I doubt I'll be able to get away from work early so it probably means I won't get into the centre until 7.00pm or later. Also looks like some guys from this weekend are also going to the same club thing which is nice (and I may even be able to crash with one of them, which makes thing way, way easier).
Also getting some hassle from ex. Apparently she's need a gaurantor so she can rent a place with her best mate. Her credit's shot to shit because she was out of work for six months, and has a lot of debts. Things are pretty amicable so I'm not expecting to get screwed over, but you never know what's gonna be around the corner. Not sure really what to do there

Ended up in the Ship on Wardour St last night (after Killing Joke) - the place was absolutely kicking. Seems to have picked up in the last few months as the "fun pub to go to" - it was packed and the music was excellent (FNM, RATM, ACDC, Only Ones, Banshees, Dead Kennedys, Nirvana).
mind you, our barman was deaf, and the music was so loud, we ended up with some really funny drink orders....
