So what's been happening on Mt. Olympus this week? Aside from laying bets on what animal Zeus is going to shag this week and who's going to win the latest fight between Apollo and Athena, not much really... wink

TBH been spending a lot of time hammering out what I'm going to run when I go away next weekend, I'm down to a shortlist of 3 games and although I'm pretty confident I'm going to get it all done in time there's still some way to go.

Finally got a cheque from legal types for 9K thankyouverymuch. Unfortunately most of it is spent already on credit card bills and house stuff. Might try and get a PDA or DV camera with the change we'll see.

Also finally saw Team America (wonderfully stupid with a suprisingly good score), and Taxi (the original, good fun, s***s all over the US remake). Wondering whether I've got time in my writing schedule to see Serenity and Night Watch before I go away, or whether I'll need to wait until I get back, hmm.

Recorded my first podcast with fpkk on Sunday about pop culture and geek stuff, apparently it turned out quite well, fingers xssed it'll be up somewhere soon for people to peruse (or laugh at, or whatever).

Also thought I'd mention I've finished reading Talisman by Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval - TBH the title is a little misleading and there isn't really any conclusion to it as such but it does nicely illustrate the persistence of dualist/heretical/masonic thought throughout the ages - especially in regards to the French and American revolutions and the architecture of Paris and Washington DC.

I'm now eyeing up The House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski which a friend got me as a belated birthday present. TBH it's very intriguing challenging book, and it seems to be mostly a pseudo-non-fictional commentary about a series of events (and a film) that didn't really happen. It's not the kind of fiction that you can just soak up and it's already giving me the creeps in some indescribable way. I'm dying to get through it but for now I've had to shelve it for now to get all this writing done first...

Listened to your pod thing.

Liked it loads.

Read Heaven Mirror by Hancock, enjoyed it. I agree with him to an extent.

Its enough for me that he proved recorded history is older than previously thought, even if everyone else thinks he`s mad.

I`m going back now into your journal to find out what you`re talking about here.

Keep well

Oh and for the record - Rolemaster is my favorite role playing game.

Hehehehehe! The guy who asked to be my "free butter" is Italian, from one of my favorite cities, Milan (I lived there for awhile). You & I will definitely see each other when I come to London! Won't be for awhile, though. I want to visit Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles first here in the States... I live to travel!
