So what's been happening on Mt. Olympus this week? Aside from laying bets on what animal Zeus is going to shag this week and who's going to win the latest fight between Apollo and Athena, not much really... wink

TBH been spending a lot of time hammering out what I'm going to run when I go away next weekend, I'm down to a shortlist of 3...

Listened to your pod thing.

Liked it loads.

Read Heaven Mirror by Hancock, enjoyed it. I agree with him to an extent.

Its enough for me that he proved recorded history is older than previously thought, even if everyone else thinks he`s mad.

I`m going back now into your journal to find out what you`re talking about here.

Keep well

Oh and for the record - Rolemaster is my favorite role playing game.

Hehehehehe! The guy who asked to be my "free butter" is Italian, from one of my favorite cities, Milan (I lived there for awhile). You & I will definitely see each other when I come to London! Won't be for awhile, though. I want to visit Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles first here in the States... I live to travel!

This weekend I did some very exciting things, such as removing the weeds from my patio, chopping back some monster climbing plant thing in my back garden and mowing the lawn. Riveting news eh? tongue

I also spent some time playing the Eve Online MMORPG for the first time. On the one hand it is gorgeous to look at, with user-friendly game-play and it seems to...

This week seems to be one of those weeks where the world decides to remind you how much you are *not* the centre of the universe.

I've managed to waste pretty two much two whole nights arsing around with computers at home only to come to the conclustion that, after buying a new wirless PCMCIA card, it's actually the (only) slot in my laptop that...

hello smile yep, i would do it with liquid latex. Just brush it onto your skin in a thin layer and dry with a hairdrier, you'll need to put on quiet a few layers and always wait untill the one is dry before brushing on another. You can stick bits of thin tissue paper between the layers and when it's all dry powder it or put make-up on and using scissors peel bits off.
You can also use ordinary gelatine, but that leaves more of a blistery look.
Hope it makes sense

Well I'm long overdue, so this is a long one. Hope you've got the patience to actually all the way through to the end... biggrin

After my last update I had to attend a family wedding up north. The third of my three female cousins to get hitched. It went pretty well, apart from a spot of rain. Far too traditional and unimaginative for my tastes...

Well I suppose it's about time I updated. France was ok, great weather, great food, lots of booze. The only downside was having to interact with my estranged dad and his wife. Well that's probably a bit harsh, but after a day or so me and my dad have very little to say to each other. And his wife renewed my low opinion of her...

haha, fraid not tongue that last picture on your journal is scary, and that's coming from a tarantula owner, so technically I shouldn't have a fear of small spiders!

Choices are:

a) Something very very stupid

-or-

b) Something far too sensibleand probably wrong.

So, in short, erm... no idea.

Well that's another weekend been and gone. Crikey, hard to believe we're already half-way through 2005 eh? Feels like only yesterday I was trying to make plans with what to do with the year, tsk...

So, Friday a friend came over and we tried a new boardgame called Hour of Glory which he was supposed to be revieeing for the designer/manufacturer. Was a laugh, but...

After 3 very cool series of Alias, of which I'm not even sure if it's the 2nd or 3rd that's my favourite, and with such distinct differences between each series that this distinction is actually meaningful. I'm willing to cut Abrams some slack. smile

Update time again I guess. smile

Saturday I ended up going up to Leicester Space Centre to help out a friend with some Star Wars at a local collector/fan convention there. Dealing with the kids was rather taxing (and reminded me why some people should *never* be allowed to spawn) but I was promised free stuff for the favour (and the PR girl hired to help...

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant
Who was very rarely stable.
Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
Who could think you under the table.
David Hume could out-consume
Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
Who was just as schloshed as Schlegel.
There's nothing Nietzche couldn't teach ya
'Bout the raising of the wrist.
Socrates, himself, was permanently pissed.
John Stuart Mill, of...

Well I was originally going post some kind of panicky entry yesterday seeking sympathy etc. for the disappearance of my little kitty Lucita. I reached my wits end in the wee hours of Saturday & early Sunday wondering where she'd gone. Hysterics were narrowly averted however by (finally) spotting Luci in my next-door neighbour's window. Turns out the little old lady had gone away and...

I have read it! I was hooked from the first chapter, when she was explaining how she has this compulsion to correct other people's spelling, and gets irrationally annoyed by misspelled signs and things. I read it going "I'm not the only one!"
creamygoodness:
Nothing I won't get over, thankfully smile And they turned down the group application, the tasteless swine! Can they not see the people demand somewhere to moan about how John Woo hasn't made a good film in years?!

Glad to hear kitty crisis was averted, lucky thing you found her. Battlestar Galactica was too pricey in HMV, and there's no Virgin near me anymore so I'm just gonna pick it up on Amazon wink

Well running behind with supplying an update again. I can't decide which is more true, either a) generally rather busy with stuff, b) my life being so dull having little of interest to report. whatever

The fence is finished and I'm damn proud of it. Had to slog through most of the weekend and recruit the folks, my bro and his mate to get there though....

a) bring you a Season or 2 of Alias

b) cook something for us to eat, no arguments on that one
