Yeah, I feel you. While although everything on my end is generally going very well, there is one prof. who I absolutely cannot stand. It is amazing how much one single instructor can ruin your day/mood. I just dread Fridays now, when I know I am going to have to see her, and she is going to fuck with my Zen state...it is a horrible way to start the weekend.

I hope your art picks up for you...when are you going to post more work in your pics folder?

i am all better now. the first day was the worst. i'm just glad it happened now rather than later since i start school on the 28th.

yeah otherwise i'm doing good, trying to gear up for school and student teaching. i've been seeing this girl lately, and she's really great, but we're kind of at a crossroads right now, not sure which way it will go.

but yeah, overall i'm doing well. smile

i dunno... after i graduated i just didn't have much to do, couldn't find a job for months... everything hit me about long term bf being done with me.... and then after waiting half the summer for this professor i really liked to get back from his vacation in south america so we could finally hook up (been jocking his dick for f--ing ever!) he tells me he's met and fallen in love with someone else... yea for me! anyway, that just got me down most of the summer, but i'm definitely doing sooo much better now that i have a job, letting go of things, etc.
i was stumbling over the new site for a bit too... i leach off of other people's wifi... ARRR!!!
the thesis turned out exceptionally well and i got an award for it!! i'll send it to you if it's not too big of a file, i think you'd dig it...

I just got back from my show. Yay! I sold four pieces tonight, and there were only about ten people who showed up anyway. So, terrible turnout, but the people who did bother were almost all buyers. Evidently Third Friday is not the big to-do that First Friday is, so I stil have September 1st to look forward to.

I actually hung the show today, which I find utterly ridiculous, but I was in Utah until yesterday evening so I didn't have a chance to do it until now.

So I just flew in to New York yesterday...
Mogwa flew out to visit me about ten or so days ago, and we arrived back safe and sound and have been sleeping since we arrived.

I've already started saving up for SGC, so plan on hanging out with me then, eh? I'm still working on monochromatic relief prints. Fairly boring in regards to technique.

I saw a show of amazing Japanese woodcuts, and almost all of them were posthumous editions. It made me sad and conflicted. They were great pieces and I was happy to have the opportunity to see them, but the prints were there because of what I consider to be a very dishonest methods. I'm going to burn all my blocks before I die so charlatans like that can't go and further the edition once I'm no longer around.

I am truly sorry to hear that you are losing faith in our county, and only feel that we can recover from it by hitting rock bottom. I have a pretty good idea of what "rock bottom" means, and I don't think that it will usher in an age of transition for this country, but will result rather, in a permanent level of crippled and dehabilitated policies, economics, and standards of living.

But then again, I have little choice but to believe in the system, since I have just recently joined its ranks.
