It's my first day back,
I have an intense "american culture" hang over, that isn't really going anywhere.
woke up with a sick taste in my mouth, the taste of depression at the enormity of what Mogwa and I are fighting against.
it hits me about once a month, a day where i can't lift my head.
why you ask?
well it was this weekend. seeing everything in all it's fucked up glory. the wasted dreams that are becoming rural america, the poverty, the drug problems in towns of "conservative good ol'boys". God's country, as my father use to call it. the radio advertisements on the drive up, the cars, all the fucking cars!
I grew up in a trailer park, in a dusty town, and when we were driving through Mogwa's home town, we went through a park much like mine.
Seeing fifteen cars in front of a single wide trailer, all of them nice, it fucked with me...
where are we going???
