We've walked for about a mile and a half now. Through what is increasingly becoming the sprawling ghetto of the working poor in Eugene. From one end, our end, to the other we reach the house. Walking up, we see a sign on the door:

"PLEASE REMOVE SHOES"

We take our shoes off, the music can be heard two houses down. This is our new venue. The cops/city/clubs shut down our last one because we were getting more people then the local bars. But not this show, it's the first one.

Into the house, and down the stairs. Mattresses are set up on all the doors so that we can keep the sound in, and the cops out (eugene is notorious for issuing MIP and Contributing tickets to entire houses, one beer is all you need to get 25,000 dollars in fines). Down the stairs, the music is getting louder. Into a small basement, it's three rooms. The sound proofing is held up by painter's tarps, and dumpster dove carpet pieces are all over the floor. An upside down amerikan flag is the only decoration, and the best seat in the house is on top of the washing machine.

This is the underground music/anarchist scene in Eugene Oregon.

The first band plays what is a healthy combination of hardcore, jam, and emo. All mixed up into a fucked up sound that when good, is really good, but when bad tends to drag. They've improved since the last show, and if only "someone" could hear them, get them into a studio... But it will never happen, we are too invisible.

Living like kings we play and listen. Dumster dove food and beer is all around, and the sent of un-washed bodies filters through the noise, making you realise how REAL it all is.

The second band comes on. Nothing but "tribal" can explain their sound, like the first they take a heavy influence from multiple genres. What can only be described as a bluegrass tune, transforms quickly into pure hardcore, the singer screaming at the sky, at god, at society. His pain, his angst, and his playfull nature are all apparent....

We are the kids that will never be noticed. Existing underground, in the basement of some house, creating OUR scene. A scene with no rules, no games, no Bull Shit. We scratch by, we spend our money on new gear, nothing more. It's about the music, about the fear, about the fucked up world we find ourselves.

Our plan, is this...

And we wont fucking stop until it all changes!!!!!!
