i'm sitting here and I can't really feel my body
we bought a machine mill for work, and i was making a table for it. i stood up, quick, and hit my head directly on this knob thing. it knocked me flat, haven't felt this way since i spider webbed my friends windshield with my knoggen when i was sixteen. it's kind of nutts!...

MAN!
last night when I was in the shower, washing the black off my body, watching it swirl into the drain. Around the time of the second hair wash, I fucking had the coolest idea for a journal entry...

the school i go to now is so disorganized its not like a real university, plus its a seminar college, so the classes never exceed 20 people. eugene lang. very non-traditional lefty school. love it with all my heart though. college has changed my life.
We finally cleaned all the confetti off from our house.
thanks to everyone who showed up, and had a good end of the year celebration.
Yesterday was rough................................
I updated my pictures with a few pics of a collage I am doing, their under the "art" section.
check em out, there's a stencil of one of my friends in there!

That's pretty cool work you did on those cabinets. My reaction to the colors fit the theme's emotional connotations. I dunno I am not an art critic but I think it's cool.
hey- what is the name of that special wax sealant you use to uh seal the ornamental ironwork you do?

It's my first day back,
I have an intense "american culture" hang over, that isn't really going anywhere.
woke up with a sick taste in my mouth, the taste of depression at the enormity of what Mogwa and I are fighting against.
it hits me about once a month, a day where i can't lift my head.
why you ask?
well it was this weekend....

and why am i in this handbasket?
I awake to one more week, one of the last weeks of 2004, with thoughts of our future running through my head. I watched I-robot this weekend, and it's given me some crazy dreams. It wasn't a new concept by any means, but it was animated really well, and the visual imagery hard-wired the apocolypse dream button in my noggen!!!!
I had an awsome weekend...

Actually, I was going to silkscreen them but I hate using silkscreen presses that fucking big. I always mess it up somehow. So, I just painted them with house paint.

Society made me what I am. I hated all the proscribed conformity and consumerism. I've been called a militant in my counter culture views. Id rather die than conform
We've walked for about a mile and a half now. Through what is increasingly becoming the sprawling ghetto of the working poor in Eugene. From one end, our end, to the other we reach the house. Walking up, we see a sign on the door:
"PLEASE REMOVE SHOES"
We take our shoes off, the music can be heard two houses down. This is our new...

So last night we go to this little cafe'. It's smaller then a living room, and crammed into it are about fifty hippies, and hipsters. Fully equiped with all their guitars, uni-cycles, children, and so on.
It's the most egalitarian open-mic in the city. Everything else has been bought out corporatized, and so on. Which leaves us with this little cafe.
It was fun I...

So, for the first time in a really long time I had a really productive weekend. I have been putting off getting my stupid statement of purpose done for my Grad school applications, because I hate the idea of summing myself up in 400 words. Well I finally finished it.
Then I wake up to find that sexy Thursday has a new set which is...

hehe, yeah that's kinda how it is at my work. I tried describing to my brother what I do at work and I didn't know a single glassworking term to describe what I did...
ornamental ironworking is cool stuff though. I still have this old magazine, the fabricator, it's all about ornamental ironwork, pretty spendy though, but worth it if you want to know the inside story on what you're doing.
the beeswax is probably the best surface treatment to use, I tried mineral oil once, and it smeared the patina I had. it's good for treating knives though.
peace!

So what is going on?
In the Ukraine right now the people are camping out (hundreds of thousands of them) in the capital city demanding a re-count of their election.
They have food.
They have water.
They have spare winter clothes for the people that should show up today from other cities.
In Chile students/farmers/and workers had running battles with police the entire time that...

you think all that turmoil is hard to comprehend. Wrap your head around this every milisecond your own cells work major miracles in order to produce chemical energy, avoid pH imbalances, make polymers too repair shit thats already gone wrong, make some different polymers to make new cells-extracellular matrixis-and other shit.-----all this in numbers that change from .0001 to 100000000 everytime your fucking heart beats every time you take a fuckin breath.
just remember, you already have enough stuff to worry about all on your lonesome. Concerning yourself with problems that only affect you when you let them is like beating a pile of dead gophers.

yeah I like the pics of the art that you have in your journal. A couple of the found art sculpture reminds me a little of Lee Bontecou. And the buckles are sweet, repousse is fun. did you use pitch when you did them?
