It's amazing how sometimes it takes a personal connection to bring the weight of a sittuation down on your head. Little snippets here, tid bits there, selective blurbs about what "they" deem is oh so important that you MUST know about it. Articles about massive deadly outbreaks take up two lines, next to page and a half spreads on "the poor children, and their exposure...

I first saw the look when I was eleven. Un-prepared and underage, I stumbled down the steep hill onto the dry field below. The ringing from the 30-06 was bouncing back and forth inside my head while I ran up to my father. Ten feet later and I stop dead in my tracks, everything around me blurs except the eyes. Unfocused and jet black, rolling...

north of Scott's Mills near Mt. Angel, it's pretty cool country. It's a bit of a drive to Eugene, but not too bad.
I'll have to establish a blacksmithing setup when I'm without power, it should be a learning experience: getting back to more primitive metalworking styles.
have you been able to do any artwork recently? all I've had time for is sketches

I was thinking about my last visit to eugene and how i spent a lot of time in this one shopping square that was downtown by the greyhound station. there was a taco place , video arcade and this one store that sold punk stuff. a lot of squatter use to hang out there too.
hhhmmmm i need to update.
UPDATE!
there, all finished...
i can't think of anything to write lately, it's been kinda one of those weeks. more later i'm sure.

I fully intend to show you some prints, but sadly the hard drive on my home computer just committed harekare and I don't have the pictures on my work computer.
I wear the gas mask to glue layers of Lorica together. THe glue is hideous stuff with all sorts of mean warnings all over the container. I still have yet to get used to the mask, but it's better than being insanely high all day.

So the list of stuff i've done in my life is getting longer
i've been pierced a few times, tattooed several, i've free climbed an intermediate 250 feet, ripped off the skin on my knee, burnt myself, fallen twice, hitched the country from Oregon to Florida, and so on and so forth...

It always happens,
that point in time when it all comes to a head. Where the little underground scene becomes a seething mass of bodies, all like minded and unified in their interest for something new. Old meets New.
I use to fucking hate it. When I was a teenager, I was a scene hog, obsessed with posers, I wasted my time trying to protect...

I had something wierd happen recently. It got me thinking.
See I'm not that assertive when it comes to defending myself, I could care less in most cases that don't involve physical violence, and so I just kind of blow it off. I picked it up from my father...

along with that, the only other difference i can think of is that very few sex workers stay in the business after they reach 40.

Violence!
Does it increase, has it increased as a result of our current state of war?
Do people accept the futility of a life more willingingly? Are we more capable of dishing out, and resorting to violence once we see that it has been sanctioned and paid for by the state?

This is from an old crust song, a band I heard off an A//Political mix
"If Change starts with you today,
What the fuck are we going to do tonight?
Stand up and fight! Stand up and fight!
And if the revolution came today,
What would we do that night?
Stand up and fight! Stand up and fight!
And if the world will never be perfect, if everything we do is for shit. If we manage to change and do nothing with our lives. If we die unfilfilled, unloved and unknown tonight, what will we do that day?
STAND UP AND FIGHT!
STAND UP AND FIGHT!
Change Starts with YOU Today.
Freedom begins with US Tonight.
In Solidarity I Pledge With YOU to FIGHT"
Good to be back on the site, back into the groove of school and food not bombs. and of course trading text based messages with my favorite anonymous comrade through the journals on a very soft "porn" site. Yay technology!

Yeah, my grades, resume, and portfolio should all be kickin', so... hopefully I'm set on that. I interview well, too. It's just that I'm really picky about where I would even WANT to work and those jobs are all immensely competitive.
Yay for printmakers! Do we ever get to see your work? Good luck with grad school!!!
Glaad to add ya.

hey man, thanks for looking at/signing the petition. I actually heard about it through my sister who works for the Portland Chapter of United Cerebral Palsy...I guess the disabled, mental and otherwise, are going to be hit pretty hard by this if it goes through....total bummer. anyway, I figured if it was big enough to get the attention of the people my sister is working with/for, then it was worth passing on. I might even try to link to it in some of the other groups like liberal politics and the disability group...what do you think?

oh, don't worry, i wasn't writing that about you. recently there were a couple other people that i know in person that i've felt forgotten by.
oh man, 5 days.... you must have been in so much pain. i can't think of which emoticon to use...maybe this one
because that's what you must have looked like when you finally squeezed that turd out...haha....oh man! this brings up so much good material....why didn't i think of any shit stories before!
the other day i was saying something similar about not getting any.... it's like when you're single it constantly bothers you that you're not with anyone, but then when you're finally with someone you start to miss being single....at least i do. it's just weird like that. i'm not too worried about it. but jokes about not getting laid come right after shit, fart, and dick jokes on the list of things that never stop being funny.

Well, I am worried because he isn't doing nearly as well as he was. I'm afraid it may be my last chance to see him and I'll miss it because of some stupid graduation related honors shit.
(Don't worry-- I won't tell.)
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's country. The world is fucked. I do not plan on having kids for that reason. In fact, I really don't like kids in general. One of my paintings was about war and how fucked our culture is in that it destroys the world over stupid, stupid shit. Sigh...
