Man, when I look back on it, 2008 ranks up there as being a pretty shitty year. Things were great through...say...mid-June.

I rephrase. Shitty second half of the year. I won't type out details as no one wants to read that. This year involved a lot of work with people I don't particularly enjoy. And, considering how much theater pays, it's dumb to keep doing...

tired. sleepy.

I bought a new comforter ("duvet"!) the other day...and now it's like I'm sleeping in a swanky hotel room every night. Rock on.

I think this is what people call "the good life", no? biggrin

Once Again, it's been too long.

Started working on HAIR today, which will hopefully be opening on Broadway in early March....

Nothing too exciting to look forward too until early January when I fly to Seattle for 3 weeks.

What the fuck else to write??

lame.

It's been a crazy 6 weeks since I last wrote anything...

I've moved to Astoria since the whole bed-bug fiasco, which, by the way, totally sucked.

I got my first Broadway show, I'll be assisting on HAIR which will go up in February. Thank god, I need the money.

Just trying to settle back into a normal life. Well, as normal as it ever is...

Oof. Talk about a rough return to the city.

My apt was broken into while I was in San Diego. 3 nights after discovering the break-in...I found a bed bug in my bed.

Rock.

OK, I lied, I'm ready to go back to San Diego now...

Something to remember - the Cherrybomb in San Diego is a very, very cool bar. It's been a while since I've been to a dive bar that wasn't in NYC, and it was a nice shift of pace. Especially since I leave in a week, and in the past 3 weeks, I think I left the affluent neighborhood of La Jolla....once? Maybe?

It'll be good...

Not to sound like a broken record...but I'm still tired. Work's getting more aggravating. I'm sure everyone's got the same story...but I swear to god, the people at this theater don't get it. I guess I'm just used to how things are done in New York, but there are some policie/practices that are just inane. Thank god the designer I'm asssisting agrees with me. So...

I am tired. I'm in San Diego, now. Don't fly back to NYC till Sept 1st. I flew on my day off, Monday, from my other show, and arrived late. PS, thanks JetBlue for canceling my flight. Arrived around midnight, had to get up at 7 for a 16 hour day...and it's been the same schedule all week: 9a or 10a until midnight.

Sigh...sleeping alone...

Where the hell do I reply to comments?

Yup, cats. That's what's so bazaar and out of character. Wogens and cats don't typically go together. But I've come to find that it's other peoples cats, just like other peoples dogs, I don't like. These cats seem to be somewhat trainable too and they're cold blooded killers too. No need to build a better mouse trap here.

Only a few more days till I fly to San Diego for the month. I'm definitely looking forward to getting away from NYC for a while. I love it, don't get me wrong..but it'll be nice to go somewhere near a beach and sand and ocean...and so on...

I think I'm going to get another tattoo there...which means I need to start doing some research...

Sitting here, on dinner break. Planes flying overhead. Getting ready for the final dress performance...

It's been sticky and hot ALL day. Love this city in the summer... But, I got my flight info for San Diego! I'm spending almost all of August there, assisting on a show. May have to hunt down some SG action in SD...

I forgot how much I really like Peter Gabriel. He's really good.

Work is rough. Getting a musical to the point where it's ready for performance is always really hard. But this time, we're doing it all outside. In the sun. Oh, and the humidity. Man, it gets sticky in the city in summer.

But the nights are the perfect temperature. The park gets so...

I hated the summer in NY, but I miss that city like I'm missing a limb. Hopefully I can live there once again...
Good luck with the first performance...
