Whipping through these at a frightening pace....
Takashi Miike's Imprint 2006
A part of the Masters of Horror collection. One of Miike's english language films. A dark story of an American who visits a Japanese "pleasure" island in search of his lost love. He stays the night with a local courtesan, from whom he learns the cruel tale of his love's fate. Miike has something for everyone: Needles under the lips and fingernails torture, dump the baby in the river abortions (yes, thats plural), incest, patricide, and muderous conjoined twins. Sadly, three things ruin this film: The plot is rushed along far too quickly, the conjoined twin looks really fake, and worst of all.....Billy Drago's acting is offensive
As much as I love Miike's sinister side, my favorite is his The Great Yokai War, a family film.

The 2nd Akron/Family was even better than the first... Lots of spontaneous crap with people from the audience on stage
