So I had an elliott smith cd release party at my work. These past few days I have played it over and over. It's creepy. It was no shock to me that he was going to off himself. I don't think it was a shock to anyone. It's weird listening to such a talented person that's dead, and knowing that you'll never hear anything from them again. All of the stuff on this last album screams out to everyone that this was going to be the last of his works. I know of people that have attempted to commit suicide, and their friends all treated them like shit afterwards. To their friends it was the ultimate fuck you, and it's probably even worse if the attempt was succesful. Not to mention family. Can you realize how weird it would be if your offspring left this earth before you did? We all have problems, and bad habits that we can't shake. I for one am thankful that I have freinds, and family to keep me in check.
Today is a special day for me. Those who know me in real life know. Drugs are bad, and it doesn't take that long to not be in the right state of mind. so to all of you who know me, Thank you for being such great friends. To everyone else you need to have the people that I have surrounding me. Well that's the elliott smith, and alchohol in me talking. Night.
