They laugh hysterically.
They eat, drink and smoke more than they can handle, to forget their lack of meaning.
They hurt themselves and push new substances in their blood.
They fake a character, sure that they need to.
They pretend to be happy, just for fear of being excluded from their circle of friends
because this is what they would do.
They can't listen to what you're saying, they are afraid you might be trapping them
in a waste of time which everybody else will notice.
They can't promise anything for they can't commit to you.
They are so unaware that they forgot to grow up, they think all their problems
come from something else.
They think you are an object among many others, on life's Ikea catalog
and they will be therefore very careful before spending time with you:
after all, you might not go well with their interior design.
They are happy to be with you as long as you don't do or say anything
that will force them to be themselves;
the feeling of being shamefully empty is too hard to swallow.
They will re-group and look at you with suspicion, from the safety of their gangs,
whenever you say anything too difficult to be accepted by emotional children.
They will tell you that you are smart and different
but they will be afraid of hanging out with the living reminder of their idiocy.
They will do what everybody does, drink and eat what everybody swallows,
vote the same idiot that everybody is voting and tell you what's in and what's out,
without understanding or believing a single one of their own words.
So big are their desire and their inability to be a decent part of mankind.
They will wear their sexuality as another badge,
as yet another hope to be accepted in some group,
unaware of how little we care about what's going on in their bedroom.
They will be shouting loud what they think they are thinking.
They will hurt and judge you, condemn and exile you, beat and kill you,
with as much strength as they are ashamed of not being able to understand you.
They will conquer the world
with their emptiness and their vulgarity,
with their lack of empathy and all their hypocritical lies about that,
with their kind words and their inability to love
and we will be nothing in this world,
for we are too disgusted to even react.

You can only expand your inner world,
until it reaches huge proportions,
impossible to ignore.
It becomes so easy then
to chase these demons away,
belittling them by example,
leading a life that's as shiny and impossible to directly stare at
as our very Sun itself.

Breathe in, breathe out
and they shall all disappear.
