well, sir, you hit the nail on the head there! it really is a contradiction, and perhaps one without resolution. but the struggle is the process, and the process is the organism of art... it's true i was suffering from a block at the time of formulating my "manifesto"; the block is gone now, thankfully, but i would like to give the discipline a chance. however, it is very difficult, and perhaps contradicts the nature of poetry. we'll see... also true are the words of Mr Massee up there.
