I have to talk to a lawyer, but honestly I don't think she can come after us if we break the lease.

A: When we signed the lease, we were told that the roof would be done in 2-3 weeks. It took her 5 months.
I have dated video evidence of how bad it was leaking as well.

B: She did not mention a single word about the building being in Foreclosure or anything when we moved in. Not a peep. I come home one day to find a sign saying the place was going up for auction.
Not cool.

C: I don't even think it's a legal apartment. Only one entrance in and out.

D. Stress. Her fucking dogs are constantly barking. At us, at traffic, at EVERYTHING. If it's not the dogs barking, it's them screaming at each other, or the 5 year old SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER because he got a time out. I actually heard the kid's mother call him a little asshole the other day.

E. This is what our porch looked like for 3 days...and it would have stayed that way for a week had I not said anything. (Those are roof tiles and rusty nails...blocking our ONLY entrance and exit.)



I think if she came after us for breaking the lease...no judge in their right mind would rule in her favor.
So yeah, I think in the next month or two we will be moving again.
Ugh...I hate moving, but this time it will be worth it.

Also, they ripped out the sky lights and put PLYWOOD over them.
If I hadn't put up cheap reflective insulation, all the heat would be pouring out of the apartment and the hole where the skylight was in the bathroom has 4" nails sticking out of it...
so add that to the list...and yeah...
According to her and her dad, they will be patched "In the Spring."
