Been a minute. Went to another ugly sweater party. Ended up being invited to go to Bloomington to see a friend play. While I was there, I talked to a kid I knew in HS. In HS he didn't like me because I was friends with his gf. He didnt seem to remember or care. He is now a linguistic analyst for the Navy and we talked about language and national security forever. Good bar conversation.
So I go to this show and meet up with my friend Lydia. Her and I and the Linguist go out to the show together. We run into someone else we know in HS and form our group. This other girl is a short Asian girl named Ivy. She came over from China when she was a teenager. Her parents own the local Chinese restaurant. Typical. Anyway at one point she gave me her coat and her "$2700" designer bag. She was drunk, she didnt mean for it to come off braggy. I people watch in crowds and I dont dance or drink so everyone thinks I am stiff but I am having fun, I just dont express it. Anyway we're standing in the back and I notice these guys getting into it. I had been watching them doing the chest bumping and stuff but in a crowded and loud area not many people were aware. Including Lydia. I grabbed her by the arm, moved her, stepped between them and her, and said "hold my purse." Luckily no one else heard that. I put my hand on my karambit but nothing came of it. Just shoving and chest beating. Men. I also ran into a girl who I used to bang a lot's roomate. They've lived together for years and all the roomies are close. This girl, was the Linguist's ex. The one I was friends with in HS. Well last year we had a fling. He was unaware. So there he and I were with her roomie. His ex also hated Lydia for the same reasons he hated me. No one was running around on each other, just high school insecurities and pettiness. Awkward. Later we moved to another bar. The Linguist ran into some military friends by chance. Meanwhile I learned our Asian friend's friend wasn't her bf but her gay best friend. I couldnt tell because his Chinese accent was so thick but once I saw leather pants in the brighter bar it was a little more apparent. He and I sat by a door and played "fashion police." He was Joan Rivers. Later the Asian girl tried to kiss me but I thought she was trying to tell me a secret so I leaned my ear in. Awkward ear kiss. I am good (i think) at sex, but I am terrible at being single. I dont catch hints and stuff like this happens. I crashed at Lydia's and slept with her, we didn't have sex again. I got home to greet one of my friends who is visiting for the holidays. Shes a dancer at one of the local clubs and one of the best. They're giving her job back while she is visiting I guess.
Last night I went to a party. I didn't intend on staying because the girl I was going there to see didn't plan on staying. I was going to go to the bars with my friends after she left. We ended up staying until around 2. There was a puppy that we were playing with. She wasn't drinking this time. It was the girl I volunteered for a lingerie fashion show. Anyway we hung out mostly with other people who werent drinking, ironically. She was feeling sick all week so there was that as well. Anyway we had fun people watching and such and playing with the puppy (although it was scared because of how loud everything was =[ ). There were some randoms making fools of themselves. Thats normally what happens when the gay:girl ratio is off. Guys have a lot to prove. Alex, this girl, threw a glowstick at a guy who looked like he was going to pass out to be funny. He threw his chair back and started yelling. I put my hand on my knife under my shirt. She owned up to it and we laughed at him. I guess he had said to someone else, "thats how girls get hit." I didnt hear that and its a good thing I didn't. Too many friends are victims of abuse and assault. If he wouldve hit her I wouldve gunned him down. Theres no place for people like that. He also almost Luckily, nothing came from it and his friend puked shortly after and they all left. Our sober group got tired and we dispersed. Alex came home with me and we had the best sex I've had in awhile. She tried to tease and take control and it was hot. Normally I don't like that. Normally I have to be in control. We went at it for a couple or three hours, then after awhile she was down for round 2 for awhile as well. That hasnt happened in awhile because normally people are worn out. It was just different and weird and great. Now I am at work on a couple hours of sleep and huuuuuungry.
