Well after 2 deaths in the family, being the main point of contact for planning one of the services, family drama that can sometimes accompany a death, balancing work on top of it and working an REI Expo; I think I am ready for a break.
During this time I have adopted my mom’s kitten (the daughter of my cat). She is a loving feisty little thing, and slowly adjusting to my 3 large dogs. My cat had more kittens (little slut). She had 6 of them. I also attended the Blackheart Burlesque show. I am also planning a trip to MA, for March of next year.
These three week have not been easy, but they have taught me a lot, not just about myself but those around me. It has taught me that it is ok to cut ties with people even if they are family. That is not something that is always easy, but it’s something that can be necessary for your own personal health. It has taught me that relationships you thought were strong can grow stronger. It has taught me that valuing relationships before the person is gone is extremely important, because when they are gone you have much fewer regrets, if any.
Now, I am looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my dad (who is my best friend), husband and a couple of my siblings. Today I plan on setting my Christmas tree up and starting to decorate. I don’t know how much I am looking forward to Christmas this year, but I will get through it.
