Yesterday was the going away celebration for one of my friends/co-workers who is moving to Chicago next month. Had a lot of fun, ended up getting a little more intoxicated than I had expected but that usually never fails. Have a Skype interview with a company that I'm hoping to work for on Friday. It was supposed to be today but he ended up having to leave the office early which was alright with me because I was feeling a bit under the weather anyway. This gives me more time to go over what I want to say during the interview.

So my roommate has been gone for the past month or so due to back surgery and I've been stuck in the apartment by myself for the most part. He's got 2 cats which I've also been looking after. He doesn't know for sure when he'll be back. Right now he's just staying with family until he fully recovers but I have to admit, it's been mighty lonely around here lately.

Having my parents come down and visit was fantastic. They spoiled my brother and I by taking us out to eat for almost every meal and bought us groceries and other miscellaneous necessities. It was nice to feel like all the things I usually worry about on a day-to-day basis didn't really matter.
