Is Industrial dead?
Like a hamster that hasn't learned not to touch the electric wheel, I went to Albion NYC tonight. Now, for those of you out there that do know what Albion is, it's NYC's supposed premiere goth/industrial/electro dance club. Tonight was supposed to be extra special because Pig, an industrial rock icon was playing there tonight.
I have to say, since living in LA, I miss a really good industrial scene. You'd figure living in New York, the capitol (sp??) of the world, that we would also be the capital of the gloom doom death and noisy power sounds as well.
When I was in LA, every wed thru sunday it was almost guaranteed that you could find at least two good industrial dance clubs those evenings. Here, I'm surprised the scene is dead. Deader than refuse in a dumpster at an abortion clinic.
Anyways, more later, I've tired myself out even trying to begin this rant. i don't know how you bloggers do it.

sensoryoverload:
Wow, thats kinda surprising that NYC has a weak industrial scene. and youre absolutly right about LA, there are decent clubs pretty much every night. Although they can become rather clique-ish...but I guess that goes for every scene. Come back & visit, we'll still be here, heh.
