ALWAYS AND FOREVER...

Yup. I'm talking about that oldie by the group heatwave.

Now. I'm not an "oldies" person. II'll give credit where credits due, but for the most part I'll leave the oldies for the over the hill gansters.

Usually.

So I heard this song just a few minutes ago and my fucking heart was ripped out.

Why?

Because the last time I really listened to that song, I was laying in her lap and she was singing it to me.
Sure, it seemed a little silly at the time. But I didnt realize how special that moment would be.

It was the last time I've ever been at peace. At peace with everyone and everything. Laying there with my head in her lap while she was running her fingers through my hair... that was everyting I've ever wanted.

I sit her quietly reflecting, three years later knowing that I'll never hear that song without hearing her voice.

And that that was the last time I've ever felt like I was home...
