Find any local arts festivals (In San Antonio, we have a monthly art event called First Friday) where you're bound to find local art, and talk to gallery owners or organisers about selling your art. Also, talk to any locally owned coffee shops/eateries about possibly displaying and selling your work.... what you'll do is display the art for free in their business, with a name tag and a price tag under it, and visitors buy the art through the business, you give them 30% or so, and call it a day.

Not unusual to see $500+ pieces sell within a week at places like this. Also, look out for amateur art shows.

First thing you ought to do is make some high-quality slides of your art, or have them made by a photographer friend. Then you can submit your work to any gallery owners or businesses for review.

It's a little extra work than putting it up for sale on eBay, but give it time and you can get the cash you deserve. As it is, at $45, unless you stretched the canvas yourself, you're barely making 200% on your work, which is absurdly low for the labour you put in.

For reference, I wouldn't let an 18X24 canvas of that quality go for under $100.
