Little review of Fahrenheit 9/11 copied from my LiveJournal [because I'm lazy.]
So I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 this afternoon. Fucking great, but I was quietly weeping throughout most of it. I found it pretty emotional. Why didn't anyone tell me about the horrifyingly gruesome images of dead bodies? Jesus. But I'm glad they were in there, [even though I'm sure to have nightmares] that's what war produces. I LOVED that he showed how/who/why most people join the military.
Anyway, fantastic movie. Michael Moore is my hero. Although, I think he goes a bit over the top sometimes to sway a viewer to his point of view. I noticed the same thing in Bowling for Columbine. Still an excellent film. Every American [others too] should see it, seriously. Oh yeah, Britney Spears is a ditz but a damn hot ditz.
Something that saddened me about the whole thing though, is I don't see it changing. Bush is insane, no doubt. But how much better would Kerry be? I think the government as a whole is simply completely fucked. Everyone involved is a sneaky corrupt asshole. That depresses me a bunch.
I'll finish this with a happy thought - I SAW THE PREVIEW FOR PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!!!! YAY!
