I went through a bit of a low this past week. Actually, I think the last year or so I've been going through something of a quarter-life crisis, or maybe an awakening of sorts. I'm finally figuring out where I should be. I've gone through years of depression where I haven't been able to move or advance in any way. All I've had the energy to do is keep the status quo and float along with the current. However, moving to Sumas Mountain has somehow awakened me from what felt like a zombie-like fog and now I'm scrambling to catch up. At times it's overwhelming and I feel like I'm back in that deer-in-headlights trance. Thankfully it doesn't take long for me to snap out of it and continue on this new adventure.

I snapped out of a week-long fog just this evening, actually.

I had been researching what it would cost me to move to Vancouver with the high standard of living that I have grown accustomed to. Rent alone was mind-boggling, and it sent me for a loop. Especially after I found out the pay range for an Admin Assistant. All I could think was, "How am I ever going to support my Princess-like life on that?!?" Then it came to me - go into Real Estate like I had originally planned! To my knowledge (and please, correct me if I'm wrong), I could have a starting salary at what would be the top of the Admin Assistant range and work my way up the ladder from there. That gives me enough to have my above-average living quarters, some sparkley things, AND I can eat - how great is that?!

So it looks like my plans to move to town have begun. Hmmm... I think I'll have a tiki themed house warming party.... ooo aaa
