What a rollercoaster! From going to bed bummed that Brian isn't going to join me in New Orleans to happy about all the birthday messages... this morning I found my hamster out of his cage running around. Oi. I'm glad I have the day off to recover. ,o)

oh, yes... my hamster was not only green, but he had these funny tufts of fur behind each ear and two on his bum... he kinda looked like a big furry caterpillar.

hamsters are cool. i used to have three. sweetums, pebble and junior. sweetums would sleep with us. it was cute. the cuddliest hamster in the world. pebble was just nuts. she'd lay on her back and wiggle all her feet like she's running. and sometimes she'd just spaz out. jurior had three legs. he was also special. i could tell he was a bit slow and not quite there. sometimes we'd call him stumps, stumpy, and gimp. and those were my hamsters.

they are as cute as you would think. they have to kind of waddle when they trot around on account of the spineys. but the spineys dont hurt you can actually pet them if they arent in safe mode. and they like to dig, so if you are sitting on the floor with them its not uncommon for them to try and burrow around in your crotch.
