yeah I am sold on Zanzibar. I somehow think it would just be a totally groovy deal right out of a mr. moto or charlie chan movie. I kinda dig old escapist films. I love me some noir, but I kinda have a lot of times when light fair from that time period does me just fine. I kinda just like to look at the clothes, the suavity, the overwhelming chicness and civility of the times -- though there were terrible problems not shown on screen obviously -- that somehow I don't seem to get off films of the day. Maybe it's hard to really find escapism when you are still stuck in your "when" not jsut your where. Mebbe that's why fantasy/sci fi makes me happy to geek out some times. Maybe I'm just rambling.
