A Worthy Cause

I know that X-mas is over and all but i was listening to NPR and they had a story about Heiffer international. It sounds like a really cool charity. Here's how it werks you give them money and they send livestock to poor rural families around the globe.

Heiffer international will teach the new owner how to care for the animal(s), milk them, make cheese and so on. the family then can sell offspring and animal products to put their kids through school, etc.

Yeah, I saw the episodes yesterday - they also had several today. I love that fucking show. love Our PBS station down here in Dallas, believe it or not, was actually the first in the country to show Python, and I remember watching it as a kid - this was just a few years after the show had its first run on BBC. I'm not sure what's more fucked up, the fact that my mom let me watch Python or the fact that I'm that old. Of course, she also let me watch SNL during the Belushi/Ackroyd years - my mom was cool like that. Now, in those days 99% of the humor went over my head - I pretty much watched it for the Gilliam cartoons and the silly stuff like the Gumbys.
