Well I got my sister's truck fixed by cutting the Gordian knot and having my friend fix it at his garage. Sometimes the wise thing is to back off and let the professionals handle. At least when you're dealing with the fuel system.
So since I've been off the air for a couple days here's a treat for you kids; another story. This one's for...

Massaging people's weird breasts is nothing after massaging people's hairy, pimpled asses or the colons of constipated old people. Massage school was quite a shock, because we had to immediately disrobe in front of everyone. Imagine going to a school where you've seen all of your classmates and teachers naked and have probably also touched them and bathed with them. It's very Oregon. smile
kittyspit:
well, yeah, I guess that's another thing about southern girls-lol and i managed to avoid any bruises on my face--unlike her-lol biggrin

So to continue the crabbiness into another day, this'll be a rushed journal entry at best. I have to fix my sister's truck this evening, which is no big deal except i have to replace her fuel pump and it's in the fuel tank. So I have to either drop the tank or lift the bed. The tank's full of gas so I'm going for...

So the library book sale was worth the trip. While I didn't get a book on Cooking with a Wok I did get a biography of Dwight D. Eisenhower, ironically enough (see previous journal entry to find out why that's ironic. Actually I got a ton of good books, and some that are definately worth more than the five dollars I paid for the whole...

Be bitter...you have every right to be bitter. I'm sorry for your loss. I understand your anger and sadness. Enjoy it while it is still there.

I remember back to being 7 or 8 years old, and I would ride around on the back of the tractor with my grandpa (who was a saint, by the way). It was my job to pass out water to the hot sweaty boys on the back wagon bailing hay. His name was Marty, and he was 10 years older than me, and my brother's best friend. Passing him water, he said..."thanks hon..." I was in love! Thanks for sparking that memory. Simple times...

So tomorrow is one of the greatest literary windfall days of the year. That's right library book sale. It only comes twice a year, and luckily I just happen to be in town when it happens this year.
See the library book sale is where you can buy a shopping bag of books for $5. Any books as well. Hardcovers paper backs, as long as...

well, you can blame me and ill blame you and then we won't have to blame ourselves. and then maybe everything will be right with the world again...lol

I guess I have to thank you all for you more than kind comments on my last two tales of strangeness on the road. I'd like to regale y'all with more today, but frankly I'm wiped out, and I need to work on my script. I hate to disapoint though so possibly as soon as tomorrow, I'll be back with more. Well that is if...

I love your stories--you've been all sorts of places I haven't, and you know all kinds of things I don't.

I would love to live on Lake Geneva again--it was beautiful. I had beautiful views of the mountains, but I never had to feel so enclosed that I couldn't see a lot of sky. I like Lake Tahoe area, too. I've just never been crazy about the ocean.
kittyspit:
Well, I would want my house to be on a lake, since I love to fish and go out on the water. Preferably on Lake Claiborne in Louisiana. So I guess that also answers the 2nd question. I love the water, esp. freshwater lakes.
lol--glad you're not getting tired of them. so now ill just wait to be wowed..lol well, the everyday tiara isn't as expensive as the extra special one, but hey, you can still donate.. smile

Well I fear I may have set the bar too high with yesterday's story. I mean hillbilly motorcross is funny, but not as outrageously wierd as the ex con midget story. I should have saved that for last, but what can you do. So here goes.
so this thursday last, the day of the ex con midget, I was cooling my heels in Charlotte. Wait,...

Yeah, Indigo Girls don't excite me, but Lucinda Williams speaks to me. A friend who works in a music store gave me their promo copy of her new one, World Without Tears. It's probably my second-favorite, but nothing touches Car Wheels. I would so love to see OCMS--I have been listening to them practically nonstop for over a month, and I still can't get enough!
librarian:
Well, there really aren't gas stations up there, so hopefully I won't need chains--I wouldn't right now, but I am leaving early in the morning, and obviously more will stick overnight. Hate to say it, but I am not above batting my eyelashes to get some guy to help me. Wish I were--a few of my girlfriends are the type that can drive bulldozers and combines. I envy that, but I guess I do have other skills.

Well now I'm pissed. I lost my internet connection and my whole journal entry was lost. I know what yu're going to say; it happens to everyone sometime. But that doesn't mean it's still not embarassing. Oh well, I'll try to recreate it as best I can, but it ain't gonna be as funny.
So anyway, I know some of you ave been eagerly awaiting...

I always seem to have that problem--definitely can't listen to Essence anymore. It's funny how much music can reminds me of forgotten things--Last month, I found some of my music from 9th grade. It all came back to me. smile

Maturity?!?! Honestly, do you realize who you are dealing with here?! wink

Now I remember why I rarely pull all night driving sessions, they just wipe out all normal thinking and completely make the next day feel like you're disconnected from any source of reality. I will say though this is one of the best short road trips I've ever taken. I think I may have had too good of a time. There's also way too many...

So tomorrow I head on up to Charlotte. I'm actually looking forward to getting on the road and getting out of Florida. All the sunshine and palm trees can get old quick. Also I'm better at accesorizing my wardrobe for colder weather than warmer weather. Looking back on that sentence I'm not sure if that's how you spell " accesorize" I should probably watch more...

Ex con midget, well now you've got my brain working overtime. Travel safely and log on as soon as possible...i want details!!
Glad to hear from you. I miss your questions.

Good to hear from you--I've been getting lots of new music, too. Maybe it's one of those avoidance techniques we were talking about. smile

So I'm watching Good Will Hunting on Bravo, which I find kind of funny for a couple of reasons.

1) It's Saturday and that's all I care to do.

2) I've seen it 900 times.

3) the accents make me homesick.

That lame statement having been said we'll move on. So 5:30 came early and due to the fact I only got a few hours...

I really like the episodes with Mr. Burns. He gets some fantastic lines. Basically I watch because every once in a while there is a line that is absolutely genius, and more than a few are now in regular use among people I know.

Still chewing on the attractiveness question. I am usually attracted to personality traits rather than physical ones, but there are a few immediate disqualifiers--shortness is one. I knew a guy once who was amazing as a friend and wanted to be more, but I just couldn't get attracted to him because he was so short. I felt guilty forever.

I am usually attracted to smirking, though.

I think I've ruined chocolate chip cookies for a lot of people. shocked Whole new experience eating them now blush

You're not messing around with your latest questions...

What do I want out of life? I want to be fulfilled. I want to be happy with the things I have instead of always feeling like there is something missing. Not sure if that is possible...

What makes me notice someone? That bit of uniqueness that makes a person stand out from the rest. WOW how vague is that?

Sorry, don't watch the Simpsons.
