So after having been put through a whole battery of questions about my script, the themes and thoughts behind it, and what political statement it makes I now have to go back and reread it. All of which is standard stuff; the questions and the reread. I generally wait at least a week after finishing anything before going back and reading it all the way through. Ideally I'd rather wait another couple of weeks to really distance myself from it since I want to cut at least forty pages out of it. It's the pain in the ass part of writing.
Okay so once again I've run out of things to say, and so once again here's some more questions (since I need to go do some work for a change).

1) What's the strangest job you've ever had?

2) Ex's. Can you actually have a good friendship with them after the relationship is over?

3) What are you wearing right now and why (and please people, let's drag our minds out of the gutter)?

I guess three will do for now. Hell, I'll even answer these myself.

1) It's hard to say. There's been a lot of strange jobs. I guess the top one would be when I worked on an oil rig in Wyoming. It pretty much has all the superlatives: hardest, dirtiest, most dangerous, lonliest, most exhausting. You work literally in the middle of nowhere, there's nothing around you but miles of empty plains, and you stay out there for a seven day shift. It was quite...well it was different.

2) I don't know if there's a right answer to this. Maybe it's a person by person thing. One of my best friends is an ex, but it took a while for us to get that way after we broke up. I couldn't imagine not having her in my life because she is such a true friend. I don't know if there's a happy ending for that or not. I'd like to hope there is.

3) I'm actually wearing my favorite outfit right now, if it's possible for a guy to have a favorite outfit. I'm wearing a pair of jeans, my harness boots which I've had forever, and a blue chambray workshirt. What can I say? I'm a traditionalist.

So there you go folks, not only do I ask questions I even answer them.

I'm not really trying to dodge questions, I just can't define strange, or answer relationship questions in a concise way. But one of my best friends is an ex, too. #3 was easy because I am always wearing some variation on the wifebeater/jeans combo. It can be just the $2 undershirt from the boys' dept with a jean skirt I made from cutting up $3 men's jeans from Goodwill (see profile pic), or, if I'm really making an effort, more expensive jeans with a more expensive tank, or even t-shirt. smile

I mostly like to visit cities, but lately I have been wanting to visit Yosemite, Yellowstone, etc. I am worried that if I wait until later in life, things might be too changed. When I moved to the west, it felt so foreign and I never thought I'd feel comfortable, but now it's my home and I can't imagine anything else. I don't think I could go back.
