So I had to go to an awards dinner this last weekend, I really did not want to as I am not very happy with the executive level to our company, but my direct manager is the one who does the inviting and she is an incredible boss so felt it would be an insult to not go. Now the dinner thing was ok, got drunk with the presidents wife at the actual dinner on Saturday night. They gave out tickets for drinks, four and did not want to waist those so had my four drinks, one vodka martini and three vodka orange juice. All of these I had to drink in an hour (I am pretty much the light weight so this got me pretty bused). Then we sat down to dinner and had wine, which she keep making sure my glass was full. We even had to start on the red after finishing off the white. I am sure that one more sip of alcohol and I would have been sick

Anyway the thing that was kind of cool was that I ran into a girl I had worked with at the hospital (not the company I was at the dinner for). She is the cute redhead that I had talked about to my co-workers quit often. At first I did not recognize her other then knowing I knew her from somewhere, I had never seen her in anything but scrubs and her hair pulled back. I was a little drunk by the time I went up and talked to her to see if she knew who I was, she said yes and from where. I then went to talk with the only person there who knew the situation. She is someone who also works on third with me. She asked if I wanted her to talk with the redhead. I responded with I think I am drunk enough at the moment to think that is a good idea. So she did and when she came back, after what seemed like forever, she said she had gone up and told her that she was a friend of mine from work and had told her that she was there and had had to listen to me talk about her(the redhead) at work a number of times. So my friend also told her she was doing this without me knowing and wanted to ask if she was seeing anyone. She said she was dating someone and had been for awhile. But she also said had she not been she would have definitely said yes had I asked her out. The redhead also said I needed to get over being shy, a bunch of the girls at the hospital think I am very cute and sweet. Of course I am probably not going to change but I find this kind of funny, this is like the fourth time I have heard this in my life, two other times at jobs and once at a festival. The problem is I never never ever see this. I just wish I could see this a little.

Anyway this is more then long enough so will end here with the long rant.
