Wasn't able to get to MM b/c I caught some horrible gastroenteritis type bug! How was the show? I know they usually give out posters at the Fillmore (and I have a dress with a print of one on it) but for some reason they didn't after the Siouxsie show. Then again, I was busy flyering for Black Sun, so maybe I missed it.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. My friend's mother is in the hospital with leukemia and the whole ward is complaining about her irritability. She's nice to me, though. You just have to know how to respond and turn things around, and inject humor into the situation. Her son is having a tough time but biting his tongue.

Ooh, I loved The Cult in the 80's! I didn't know they were coming to town! I'll be attending a private screening of one of my film shorts tomorrow night. I'm not playing any gigs at the moment but was asked to contribute an Attrition cover to their new CD. Pretty cool that they're casting for their own cover album, I think. Quite humble of them, even.

Haha, I wish LV made enema bags, I'd send the link to a few people I know, as well. Your mom should get a 2nd and 3rd opinion before she has surgery, anyway. There's a ridiculously high percentage of heart surgeries every year that are absolutely unnecessary, even harmful. I should know, my dad had 8 of them before he died (following a hip surgery, ironically, but his heart was weak) and I've been doing my homework.

Yes, they are absolutely threatened by patients with any sort of medical knowledge, and who can decrypt their Latin "doctor jargon". I wish your mum well, quite literally, and I do hope she finds an alternative to surgery.
There is nothing worse than being homesick for a place i'll never be.

I don't know what to say right now... other than this: I love Peaches! She rocked the fucking Casbah last night at the Fillmore Along with Eagles of Death Metal and Burning Brides. And, I loved every minute of it. God bless the Fillmore and they're groovy posters that they give away after every show. So much fun.

Likewise! And kudos to you for recognizing me even though I didn't do my eyebrows the way I usually do. Did you know you were going up on stage for play piercings or was it an impromptu thing? I saw her pulling thread through your face from my balcony position. The Genitorturers' go-go dancers were referring to us as "stripper bimbos" and not letting us share the dressing room, and one of the other Black Widows couldn't hold back any longer - she marched in there and "pierced her a new hole"! Granted, Candy and I were getting a bit carried away - I don't think the DNA crowd is used to that level of, um, interaction.
