Figured I might as well update the ol' blog while my account still has money in the meter...
For a few months, I've been working on a new project titled "nymphomania", which is a full-length poetry manuscript coupled with illustrations and set to music. Karyna's been helping me edit the manuscript, which is nearly done, and my friend Greg's been providing feedback on the recordings, 3 of which are done, with another 12 or so written. In total, it'll be 72 songs, illustrations and pieces of poetry that will come as a hand-made box set or discounted mp3 download, until if/when such time as something gets the attention of a publisher and/or small label.
For a sample of the songs I've got so far, check out the myspace page Or visit my music site if you prefer downloads to streams.
It's an interesting approach for me, since I nearly never write lyrics first. The way the enjambment happens in order to fit them into song format can sometimes result in unexpected surprises.
here's a sampling of the visuals and poems the lyrics are based on:

This last one needs a bit of work still to fit the rest stylistically, but you get the idea...

it'll be divided up into five sections/albums, tentatively titled:
1. The Faint Octopus
2. Jack Fantastic
3. The Flamethrower
4. Bzier Tarts
5. Professor Climax
feedback welcome.
