This is the synopsis of "Bordertown" I registered with the Writers Guild of America, East:

"Mexican ex-professional wrestler Pocho Martinez runs a private detective agency in the United States in the border town of La Frontera. Eva Diaz, a fan of Pocho from his wrestling days, crosses the border to hire him to investigate the possible adultery of her husband, a candidate for governor of a Mexican border state. Pocho is leery of accepting a job that may embroil him in a political scandal, but, reluctantly, he accepts the case.

During the investigation, Pocho and his operative, a young American named Jon Bloom, attend a campaign rally where the candidate is assassinated. As witnesses, Pocho and Jon know there were multiple gunmen, yet the Mexican authorities insist that suspect arrested at the scene acted alone. Whats more, the man attending the arraignment appears to be a different man than the one they saw arrested.

When Eva seeks to hire Pocho to investigate the killing, he initially refuses, unwilling to get involved in a Mexican version of the JFK assassination. Eventually, the attractive widow persuades him. Just as Pocho feared, however, people involved with the case have started dying. What he could not have suspected, however, was that they would die at the hands of a ghost.

The witnesses claimed the killer was La Llorona, (The Weeping Woman), the universal bogey of Latin American culture, who, according to legend, is the spirit of Malinche, Conquistador Hernn Corts Indian translator and lover who was, perhaps unfairly, branded a 'traitor to her people'

Pocho enlists Brujo Bob, shaman, expert on the supernatural, and part-time TV horror movie host. Together, Pocho, Jon, and Brujo Bob solve the mysteries of the assassination and The Weeping Woman."

I'm still working on the script, but I'll post an excerpt soon.

apostrophenow:
I like it.

It has a "Big Trouble In Little China/Ghostbusters" vibe (assuming you meant it to be a comedy)
