I'm thinking about entering yet another screenplay contest. I'm not sure, though, that contests are a good way of selling a script. I mean, so many people enter these contests today that the readers are overburdened. By the time they get to your script, the umteenth one they've read, it's unlikely they'll have much enthusiam for reading it.
It reminds me of when I was the last person (out of dozens of applicants), all interviewed by the same woman at the public defender's office. I could just tell by looking at her that she was sick of interviewing . I stood about as much chance of getting a job, as Manson stands of getting parole!
I'm probably better off seeking an agent or producer who accepts unsolicted scripts. Nevertheless, I really believe in "JILTED," the screenplay I've been using as my spec script. It doesn't matter how many people don't like it, since I only really need one person--one person who'll read it, like it, and buy it.
