I can't believe Donald Trump received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I mean the guy isn't even in show business--he's in real estate. The Walk of Fame has always been limited to celebrities in the media. Being on a reality show doesn't count--at least it should't.

Also, celebrities should receive one star and one star only! The practice of giving multiple stars, one for each category (movies, tv, records, etc), has to go. I'm as big of fan of Gene Autry as anyone, but he doesn't need to be honored with four stars.

Another thing: remove the stars of people who are no longer famous. Zasu Pitts? Francis X. Bushman? Who the fuck are these people?

One more thing: remove the stars for people who suck. I don't know who Rick Dees blew to get a star on the Walk of Fame, but anyone whose claim to fame is "Disco Duck" doesn't deserve one.

You might ask: What's the big deal? Who cares whether too many stars have been awarded? The big deal is this: More than 2,000 stars have been awarded already. Donald Trump, a nasty rich guy with bad hair, gets a star in a prime location, across from the Kodak Theater. By the time I receive a star for my work as a screenwriter, there'll probably be only one spot left, across from "Le Sex Discount Shoppe." God, I hate Donald Trump.

And the next day... my heating bill came blackeyed

I'm remaining in neutral spirits though... I've been in much worse situations. smile

I agree about Trump, but cut Rick Dees a break. He was one of my favorite radio personalities and did a lot of television work through the 80s and 90s (no, not just Hollywood Squares).
