Still not sure what to do wtih the middle act of my script Bordertown.

One of the ideas I'm kicking around is this. Pocho and Bobby, trying to dig up info on the Narco-General and the Cartel Boss, uncover the following.

With Mexico threatened by US drug decertification and the its attendant economic sanctions, the President orders General Osorio to arrest drug cartel padrino Armando Castillo, the King of the Skies. Osorio and Castillo concoct a plan: Kidnap one of the assassins, the Gunman on the Right, force him to undergo plastic surgery and kill him on the operating table. When police show up at the hospital, Castillo's entourage will then identify the dead patient as Castillo, who, by this time will be long gone. That way they can kill two birds with one stone: Eliminate a man who knows too much and facilitate Castillo's escape. Better still, they do the killing on July 4th. If people suspect foul play, they'll blame the American government, who performed the hit on their Independence Day as a subtle hint as to the real perpetrators.

Let me know what you think.

I love Griffith's Intolerance .. its really too bad that movie was cutup .. I saw a restored version with a full orchestra at the University of Chicago and it was amazing (my #3 all time)

the only director I think who was blacklisted for a film more then Griffith's Birth of A Nation (which really did help remake the KKK) was Leni Riefenstahl who directed Triumph of the Will... Triumph is a very well executed movie, but also of course propoganda for the nazis ...

Riefenstahl's Olympia ia one of the most beautiful sports films ever made .. just amazing ...
