I'm staying at my sisters house in Abertillery for my weekend (mon & tues) doing a bit of riding & sorting out her garden. I was going to finish building a wall today but as it's such a nice day I'm just about to head out to Glyncorrwg to ride the Whites Level trail or, if I'm feeling masochistic when I get there, Skyline (takes about 4 hours with not a flat section on it). I want out for a relaxing ride yesterday in the hills between Abertillery & Cwm doing a bit of trail building (building a berm on a fast corner) on the way & just enjoying the scenery.
Took a week off work to coincide with Mike Watt touring his "sickness opera". Punk using a hammond organ instead of guitar shouldn't work but it did. The 2 shows I saw were awesome. I'd love to catch Watt playing with the Stooges this summer bur funds are a bit low so it looks like I'll have to give it a miss.
The owner of the shop I work in finally got bored & decided to go work somewhere else. Thank fuck for that, the guy is clueless when it comes to running a buisiness. We know have a manager (he offered the job to me initially but it's way too much hassle for the small pay rise I would have got) who knows how to run a shop.
