I hate working in retail sometimes.
My day got off to a great start.
6.15am - semi-regular customer comes into the shop wanting to buy alcohol (archaic british laws mean I can't sell any until 8am). politely explain to customer why I can't serve him alcohol at that time. Customer spends next 15mins trying to convince me to serve him. When he realises it's not going to happen he starts hurling abuse at me. I explain all swearing & abuse will achieve is in him being banned from the shop. Customer responds by saying "I'm going to smash your face in!!"
luckily at that point another customer entered the shop & the guy decides to back off & leave the store.
as he reaches the door he decides to have one last outburst & "invites me outside to sort it man to man"
I decline the offer & he finally leaves the shop, swearing
as he does so.
considering I was having a bad day before that I'm amazed I managed to stay calm & swear back at him or take him up n his "invitation"
