so i went to the renissance(fuck it i don't want to look it up) faire
huzzah! it was quite interesting. i didn't dress like a wench, though. the costumes are way too expensive. there was a sexy pirate-esque person there and lots of crazy maniacs trying to make you buy their wares. it was much fun and i recomend it to the stout of heart.
after said faire we drove out of novato and went up the coast to mendocino and camped on the beach. for those of you who know your california geography, yes, that is a pretty long way.
the drive was lovely
camping on the beach was, of course, not allowed, but no one said anything. i fell asleep instantly and woke up periodically bacause of the seals that were making noises out in the water.
coming back down highway 1 all the way to san fransisco was beautiful as well. my old piece of shit car is not used to being driven at all, let alone up curvy hills.
we stopped a lot and looked around and enjoyed the way the air feels when out of the valley.
